Changing Health Statement on COVID-19

We hope you’re doing OK during these particularly tough times, and hopefully managing to keep up with some indoor hobbies and activities. We wanted to answer a few of the questions you might have about your Changing Health programme at the moment, so here’s some information that may be handy.

Is my lifestyle coach still available?

Yes. Our behaviour change programmes continue to run as normal and you can talk to your lifestyle coach whenever you need to. The whole Changing Health team is working from home.

What if I have a problem with the app or web platform?

Our tech team is here to help as usual. You can get in touch with them at help@support.changinghealth.com and they’ll respond as quickly as possible.

I have to stay indoors. How can I keep healthy?

We’ll be adding lots of new learning content to the Changing Health app and web platform in the next week or two, to reflect that we can’t all exercise in our usual way at the moment. In the meantime, there’s some excellent advice on getting active at home here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51933762

What is the coronavirus advice for people living with Type 2 diabetes?
Coronaviruses can cause more severe symptoms and complications in people with diabetes. Diabetes UK along with NHS England and NHS Improvement, and Public Health England have developed detailed advice on COVID-19 for people living with diabetes. You can find this guidance on the Diabetes UK website. The coronavirus Q&A section answers specific questions you might have about prevention, your diabetes appointments or travel.

Does Changing Health provide mental health support?

As a provider of behaviour change programmes for people with Type 2 diabetes, at risk of Type 2 diabetes or with weight management issues, unfortunately we can’t provide mental health support because our team isn’t trained to do so. However, you can find a list of clinician-approved mental health apps in the NHS Apps Library, here: https://www.nhs.uk/apps-library/category/mental-health/

Changing Health Verklaring over COVID-19

Biedt Changing Health geestelijke gezondheidszorg?
